The exercise in the picture works the back of the shoulder and upper/ mid back. As I pull on the straps, I am reversing what gravity does to us all day long. The average person spends most of their day sitting in a position where their shoulders are rounded forward and their spine is unsupported and in a compressed position. This causes injury, pain and poor posture before you know it. It takes a long time to reverse this! Years of practicing poor posture will cause muscle imbalances that can affect the neck and back. I suggest getting up and moving at least every hour of sitting to help prevent poor posture and get some mobility in the muscles and joints.
